Reinventing Odour Control
Applications
Composting

Composting sites are likely to cause odour complaints in their neighbourhood. While the majority of odours from a composting site come from windrows in fermentation, for the closed sites, leachate ponds may represent nearly 90% of odour emissions.
Furthermore these leachate ponds are most likely to be ventilated, which increases the risk of generating odours.
The installation of the PODZ solutions allows solving the odour issues coming from the leachate ponds and other reservoirs on the composting sites. Often the installation of the PODZ solutions result in reducing or even eliminating all the complaints of the nearby residents.
In addition, these ponds are often a source of methane emission (CH₄), one of the major greenhouse gases. The treatment of methane by the PODZ solutions can generate carbon credits which can then be resold or reused by the company.
